GAP
I was asked to create series of instagram posts for Gap’s Holiday campaign. I pitched several ideas and amazingly they chose my “definitely too weird for corporate” concept; thus the “Gaaahhhhhp!” tag was born. Also, i got to do some twinning (or triplet-eering) with a baby and a dog.
FOOD & WINE
The editors of Food & Wine wanted five videos that showed “feasting & frolicking” around Los Angeles. This entire project was conceived and completed in six days to coincide with a Feast LA campaign.
I contributed to Facebook’s installation at Cannes Liones. They built a rig of 12 screens and I provided content to help them sell the “power of 9x16”. Below are the animatics & actual screens on a beach where Leo DiCaprio probably walked once.
AWKWAFINA/ASTRONAUTS WANTED
Astronauts Wanted hired me to promote Tawk! - Awkwafina’s talk show on their site. Not to brag, but before my videos Awkwafina was an indie joke rapper and now she’s a movie star. Coincidence? Probably.
I also made Astronauts Wanted a promo for their site at no charge. They are now a defunct site. Coincidence? No. I ruined them.
STARBUCKS
In another holiday commission, Starbucks asked me to be jolly with lattes. My video was posted on their Instagram account & received twice the average video likes (120,000) and twenty times the average comments (8,300). But the real win was Jamie Foxx saw the video, recognized me on a Malibu beach, and invited me to dance with him and his family.
